Freshest Finds at Muskegon Farmers Market
The Muskegon Farmers Market is your direct link to Western Michigan's farmers, bakers, artisans and crafters. Open three days a week from May through November, it's a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with our local growers and creators, and truly immerse yourself in the farm-fresh bounty of the region.
The Muskegon Farmers Market has been a staple of the community for over 100 years, dating back to when farmers began selling produce at the wood and hay market. Operating in several spots throughout its history, the farmers market opened in its current downtown location at 242 W. Western Avenue (next to the Post Office) in 2014.
Boasting nearly 75 vendors, the market offers an assortment of goods – from fruits and vegetables, to herbs and flowers, to homemade baked goods and preserves. You'll get a real hometown feeling knowing that everything the vendors sell comes straight from their gardens and kitchens to you. You also can grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks that bring their farm-to-table culinary creations to the market each week. Enjoy live music while you shop, as local musicians serenade guests as they peruse the vendors' stands.
Even in the off-season from December through March, the Muskegon Farmers Market is open Saturdays for your once-a-week access to a small assortment of vendors offering baked goods, meats and cheeses, homemade preserves, handcrafted arts, and more.
The market also hosts The Flea where everything imaginable is sold. Every Wednesday from May through October, vendors are selling their wares – books, clothing, comic books, vinyl records, flowers, collectibles, housewares, home decor – the list is endless. With a wide range of goods and new vendors popping up weekly, there's truly something for everyone!
